What?
BeSlack is organising a community day at the Rouge-Cloître Slack Park, a space developed together with Bruxelles Environnement in 2020 to allow people to practise different slackline disciplines.
This time, the aim is not to organise a traditional initiation session, but rather to bring the community together, enjoy the park, share our practices and discover different disciplines.
Whether you are a beginner, an experienced slackliner or simply curious, you are more than welcome!
Depending on who is there, the programme may include:
free practice on the different Slack Park installations;
discussions and workshops around different disciplines;
demonstrations and sharing of techniques;
meeting slackliners from different parts of Belgium;
discussions about the projects and ideas that are helping the slackline community grow in Belgium.
Do you practise a particular discipline or have a skill you would like to share? Feel free to contact us: this day is also an opportunity to build the programme together.

The event will take place outdoors. In case of bad weather, some activities may be adapted or cancelled.
Where?
Rouge-Cloître Slack Park – Brussels (Google Maps)
The Slack Park is located on the Rouge-Cloître site in Auderghem, in a natural setting that is easily accessible from Brussels as well as from the motorway.
The park was developed by BeSlack and Bruxelles Environnement to provide a permanent space specifically designed for slacklining.
Who is it for?
The event is open to everyone:
beginner and experienced slackliners;
BeSlack members and non-members;
anyone interested in discovering the different slackline disciplines;
curious visitors who simply want to come and watch, meet the community and enjoy the atmosphere.
No particular skill level is required to take part in the day.
Photos and video
We will also use this day as an opportunity to create new visual content of the Slack Park and the community.
Alix will be there to take photos of the event, and Martin will also be there with his drone to capture some wider views of the site and the different disciplines.
These images may be used to present the Slack Park, BeSlack’s activities and to promote slacklining.
If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please let us know on the day.
Price
Free participation.
The main purpose of the day is to bring the Slack Park to life, bring the community together and give everyone the opportunity to discover and share different practices.
Registration
Registration is not mandatory, but it helps us get an idea of how many people will be attending and organise the different workshops.

Beyond the actual practice, this day is above all an opportunity to get together, meet other slackliners and exchange ideas about the different projects, ideas and dreams taking shape all around Belgium.

Why “Ma ich zeen da Slackparc!”?
Brussels’ popular dialect is full of short expressions, abbreviations and colourful turns of phrase that can sometimes sound surprising.
“Ma ich zeen” means “Let me have a look” and comes from the Dutch “laat mij eens zien” — literally: “me, once, see”.
“Ma ich zeen da Slackparc!” — “Let me have a look at that Slack Park!”
A little nod to the Brussels dialect.
